Red Scare TruthFDR's Last Secret
For decades what FDR died from, and when he knew he had it has been hidden from the public. FDR may have died more than 60 years ago, but these questions still matter. Not only does presidential health—and the public's right to know about it—remain a controversial issue, but in Roosevelt's case, the lies in question, if true, changed history. As neurologist Steven Lomazow and journalist Eric Fettman point out in a book coming out this January, FDR's Deadly Secret, widespread knowledge of Roosevelt's cancer would have prevented him from running in 1944 and thus likely altered the shaping of postwar Europe.
Would over 200 million have been turned over to Stalin? A man named Dewey opposed that. Would atomic bombs have been used on Japan? A man named Dewey opposed that. Would the Cold War have begun with Russia in such a powerful position? Would spies and espionage agents been allowed to remain in government?

leap of faithin need of a smoke break
I'm still craving cigarettes. What is up with that? Even when I did "smoke", I didn't really smoke. It was just sharing a drag off of someone else's cigarette during a work break or while out dancing or something. I know I couldn't have formed a nicotine addiction from that.

Or you're at a club or a party with friends, making new friends and just learning about people and getting to know them. Yeah, that's what I crave.
I guess that's a problem that can happen when an extrovert (me) marries an introvert. But I can't blame him. I just need to create a social life of my own.
Now, it's cold out and the neighborhood doesn't have many gatherings. And people are working and busy. I did accept an invitation for a thing next tuesday. These ladies have been wanting... (more)
